Barrie Scardino

Barrie is responsible for overall staff management, AIA Houston and Houston Architectural Foundation finances and is committee liaison for Contracts, Codes and Standards, Fellowship Nominations, AIA/AGC, and Historic Resources.

 

Nicole Laurent

Nicole is responsible for ArCH programs and exhibitions and acts as Associate Director of AIA Houston. She is the liaison for the Houston Architecture Foundation’s Programming Committee, the AIA Public Relations Committee, and the Urban Design Committee.

Mandy is in charge of updating and maintaining the Web site as well as creating graphics for various AIA projects. She is liaison for committees such as Michael Meyers Design Competition, Business Practices Roundtable, Awards, and COTE.

Jill schedules, manages, and reports Continuing Education classes and coordinates AIA hosted events. She also acts as AIA liaison for several committees, including Celebrate Architecture, Health, Design and Sandcastle.

Office and Membership Management

Mat oversees and manages the office as well as assists the Executive Director. He is the office contact for members and membership services. Mat serves as the liaison for the YAF and IAN Committees in addition to assisting Jill with the Sandcastle Committee.

 

  Courtney Tutt
Receptionist

Courtney is the face that will most likely greet you when you enter the Architecture Center. She answers the telephones and assists Mat with managing the office, distributing membership appications, setting up for meetings and seminars, selling and managing documents, greeting visitors, and answering general membership questions.

is a Senior Associate with Rey de la Reza Architects. A graduate of Rice University, Dan is a Board Member of CSI and Secretary of the Construction Industry Council of Houston. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Prairie View A&M University School of Architecture specializing in architectural practice management.

Brian Malarkey, AIA
, is a Vice President at Kirksey, where he practices architecture and interior design. He co-founded the Greater Houston Area Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council and is currently on the board of the Citizen’s Environmental Coalition.
