ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Andrea Sarate, Director of Workplace Strategy, is focused on assisting clients with understanding and applying workplace research to support their business goals. Her background in cultural anthropology coupled with experience in diverse markets — technology, healthcare and hospitality — positions Andrea to help evolve the workplace needs of a company’s workforce. In particular, she seeks to balance real estate business drivers with the desire to attract and retain top talent with engaging workspaces.

Prior to joining Knoll, Andrea served as the workplace strategist for an Inc-1000 financial data firm, utilizing research on workplace trends and forward-thinking planning concepts to develop workplace standards. The goal was to enhance and unify a diverse company culture and garnered global experience in corporate real estate development and project management from leading office build projects in Hong Kong, Manila, Europe and across the United States. Prior to working in the financial services industry, Andrea led her own marketing firm specializing in real estate development.

Andrea earned a B.A. in Anthropology and Art History from James Madison University and did graduate studies at the University of Virginia. Her research background is in material culture, concentrating on furniture and architecture.
