AIA Houston presents continuing education events every year, all of them at nominal or reduced cost to AIA members. A current class listing is to the left. For future classes see the calendar page.
Continuing Education Requirements
All registered Architect Members (except those with Emeritus status) must complete 18 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), at least 12 in topics related to health, safety and welfare (HSW). Learn more about AIA's continuing education requirements.
However, in order to maintain your license in the state of Texas, all registered architects (this includes practicing Emeritus members) must complete at least 12 Continuing Education Program Hours (CEPH) per calendar year. More information can be found on the TBAE website.
AIA national offices manage all membership CE records. To obtain a copy of your transcript, visit the AIA national website. If you have questions about CE credits for a class offered by AIA Houston, contact us.
Self Report Form
Many informal activities qualify for CEHs. Log in with your AIA number at the AIA National Website, and go to the handy online self-report form.
Continuing Education Scholarships
AIA Houston offers a number of needs-based scholarships for each major 2012 continuing education event, including full-day conferences. Members who want to explore this opportunity for a particular event should contact us.
AIAH is seeking to raise the relevance and quality of our CE programs. We'd like to offer you the opportunity to share your most compelling work, research and expertise with your peers. If interested in presenting in 2015, submit a proposal or contact Rhonda for more information.
