Architecture Center Houston will host the 11th Annual Gingerbread Build-Off at City Hall's Hermann Square Saturday, December 7, 2019. Competing teams will create their masterpieces using 100% edible materials. More than 4,000 spectators are expected to attend and cheer on the teams, play in the kids' construction zone, and see Santa! All of that entertainment is free and open to the public!
In honor of the Apollo moon landing, the Gingerbread Build-Off will have a special competition category - GINGERBREAD IN SPACE. Additional competition categories and team registration can be found under Competition Rules.
Team registration for the 2019 event is open to local architecture firms, design professionals, students, and enthusiasts seeking the coveted Grand Prix de Show for their edible structure.
Event Day Schedule:
9:00am–10:00am Team Check-in
10:00am–3:00pm Competition Building & Kids Construction Zone
10:00am–4:00pm Food Trucks
12:00–2:00pm SANTA!!!!!
4:00pm–4:30pm Awards

Volunteering
Volunteer to help with the Gingerbread Build-Off! ArCH needs help with the Kids Construction Zone, as well as setup/teardown of the event. Email jennifer@aiahouston.org. Online volunteer sign-up will begin in October 2019. Educational and civic groups welcome!
