Neurodiversity: Designing for Inclusion.
Presented by Kay Sargent
We are living in a time of increased diagnosis and awareness of neurodivergent conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Tourettes, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia and Parkinson’s.
People who are neurodiverse are wired differently and often their differences can be an extraordinary strength in the workplace. The neurodivergent thinker often possesses extraordinary talents when it comes to innovation, creative storytelling, empathy, design concepts, alternative thinking and problem-solving.
Neurodivergents can bring exceptional value to a team but navigating the modern workplace can be a challenge. Not only is designing space to be inclusive the right thing to do, but there is also a compelling business case for it as well. Space today needs to reflect the diverse makeup of organizations to set all up for success.
This event is free and open to the public.
