On October 5, 2018, AEC Cares, AIA Houston, ConstructConnect and Hanley Wood are coordinating a pro bono renovation event, benefiting the Santa Maria women’s home. Santa Maria has been serving women and children of Houston and the surrounding areas since the mid 1950’s. Their facility is one of Texas largest multi-site residential and outpatient treatment centers serving over 4,640 individuals last year. AEC Cares will bring together ~100 industry volunteers to create a warmer and more peaceful space for women in recovery and their families.

The renovation of the Santa Maria’s Jacquelyn House offers a chance to bring positive changes to women in recovery. Santa Maria provides a unique road to recovery from addictions, homelessness, incarceration, abuse and other trauma, where a woman can bring her children.

Looking for something good to do in the local community? A way to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most? Go to www.aeccares.com and sign up to volunteer. A little bit of your time does a world of good for women and children who need a brighter, more welcoming place to put their lives back together.

We are looking for:

Local companies to partner with #projectHouston
Building product manufacturers and suppliers to donate products and supplies
Specialty contractors and designers to donate your services
Cash donations to purchase supplies
Volunteers to get it done

100% of donations go directly to the project. To help with anything listed above, please contact AEC Cares today!
