Title: Historic Apollo Mission Control, Resurrecting Iconic Space by Adding Contemporary Electronic Technology

AIA Credit: 1.0 AIA HSW

Location: Architecture Center Houston, 902 Commerce, Houston, TX

Throughout the later half of the last century, there is probably not a more internationally recognizable nor revered space than the Historic Apollo Mission Control Center (MOCR2) in the Cristopher C. Craft Jr. Control Center at the Johnson Space Center. Incessant delays in maintenance, preservation, and operational pressures to constantly reconfigure technologies and new purpose had almost erased all significant elements of this space from tactile existence.
Utilizing experienced processes of disciplined analysis, structured planning, management of client expectations, construction oversight, and an effective balance of experienced craft expertise – the outcome exceeded expectations.
