Continuing the conversation from the Work/Life Balance by Design panel discussion, this year's Workshop is focused on providing leaders in the A/E/C professions with the design tools to promote balance and prevent burnout in their work.

"Leadership Burnout is ‘The Wall.‘ It’s the intersection of exhaustion, frustration/anger, destroyed confidence and a forgotten Why. Leadership Burnout is an epidemic and every industry is affected."

Dr. Hires helps leaders and organizations address an unspoken pain: Leadership Burnout. Leaders avoid speaking about their burnout to avoid stigma and potential impact on future job opportunities. Job hopping or opportunity chasing will not help you recover from burnout.  Leaders are more vulnerable to burnout, whether they are Emerging Leaders, Mid-level Leaders or Senior Executives.  Leadership Burnout is directly linked to job satisfaction, quality of life, productivity, employee retention, personal relationships and leadership retention/turnover.
