Please join us for our second presentation of 2016!  Join or renew your BEC membership for the 2016 calendar year for $30.00 and attend all monthly events at no additional cost (RSVP requested monthly).  $20.00 registration fee for BEC non-members, free for students and interns.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the Energy Use Intensity & 2030 Challenge targets in different building types
  • Discuss how environment and energy code impact building enclosure design during early design stage
  • Identify which simulation tools are available to enhance design process
  • Recognize the appropriate simulation tools in different design stages

Biography:
Mr. Fong has more than 20 years of experience in the architectural profession from design and planning through construction on a variety of project types.  Mr. Fong is a Senior Associate and a Building Envelope Consultant in the Diagnostics Group of Walter P Moore and he has specialized in sustainable design practices, simulation modeling, and building envelope design analysis. His passion is to enhance the architectural design concept with the performance analysis for the sustainability of the building. In addition, Mr. Fong is the Former-Chairman of the Building Enclosure Council (BEC) Houston, and an adjunct instructor at UH architectural department.
