Ben Brewer Award Mixer

Please join us at the new Architecture Center Houston at 6-8PM for the annual Ben Brewer Award Mixer in honor of A.J. Sustaita, AIA, the recipient of the 2021 Ben Brewer Award for Young Architects.

A.J. has over 20 years of experience having started in architecture at the age of 17 working for his Father’s practice, Sustaita Architects. Over that time A.J. has led design, documentation and construction efforts on a wide range of project types including, renovation, new construction, adaptive re-use, historical preservation and sustainable design. Additionally, he has contributed to the profession at the local, state and national levels. A.J. has been focused on K-12 education design for 15 years and is now leading the Education Sector for Corgan in Houston. 

This mixer is hosted by the Emerging Professionals and Latinos in Architecture Committees and is open to all young architects, students, and AIA members.

A.J. will be conversation with students from the University of Houston Gerald D. Hines College of Architectre and Design, Andrea Almaguer (B.A. ‘22) and Patrick Margain (B.A. ‘22).
