CANCELLED: Learning and Gathering in the Urban Core

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the AIA Interior Architecture Tour is cancelled, and we will look to re-program this at a future date

The AIA Houston Interior Architecture Committee is excited to host this guided tour of spaces dedicated to Learning and Gathering in the Urban Core on March 25th, from 9:00am – 2:15pm

These guided tours are curated with a focus on the interior architecture of these five unique locations that are all linked and can accessed by the METRO rail’s RED line.
1. University of Houston Downtown’s Science and Technology Building
2. Kinder High School for the Performing Arts
3. Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston (Match)
4. The Glassell School of Art
5. Idea Collider (a space curated by McCoy Rockford)

A special emphasis on exploring the practice of Interior Architecture in relation to educational and gathering spaces. Your docent will highlight the tools and talent that go into the creation of some of our city’s most exciting interior spaces.
