This presentation will cover the necessary requirements for a variety of project types and applications, including school, government, commercial and other project types. This session is ideal for Fire Marshalls and Business Owners who work routinely with architects, engineers and general contractors. Over the past 27 years with Tyco, Rodger has been focused on improving life safety for people around the world through his efforts to improve fire protection codes and standards and champion their adoption and enforcement. Rodger represents Tyco on numerous codes and standards committees and association and organization boards and committees. Rodger serves on more than 19 National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) committees and he is on the Board of Directors of the Automatic Fire Alarm Association (AFAA).

  • Explanation of occupancies within the I Codes, what types are used and when
  • The I Code cycles and process
  • IBC vs IFC, is there one and why
  • Major changes to the 2009 and 2012 IBC and IFC

12:00pm – 1:00pm:

  • Lunch Provided by Tyco Fire Protection Products

1:00pm to 3:00pm:

  • Local AHJ adaption of the Codes – adapted based upon RSVP questions
  • NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
  • Major changes in the 2007 & 2010 Edition
