Sustainable Design & Operations at the Houston Zoo

Parking and Access: The Zoo will be closed to the public at 4 p.m., so parking should be available in Lot G and surrounding lots.  Enter the Zoo for this event through Gate 8 to the left of the main entrance.

About the Tour: 
Join staff from the Houston Zoo’s Design & Engineering and Sustainability departments for a presentation on the Zoo’s sustainable practices and tour of Zoo facilities, including the new Galapagos Islands exhibit.  See how the Zoo’s design and operations help minimize the organization’s environmental footprint in order to save wildlife.  Participants will receive free access to TXU Energy presents Zoo Lights after the tour.
