Women in Architecture Houston's 2020 Equity Series Event:
Hidden Costs - Virtual Workshop

PART 2 : WORKSHOP

This virtual workshop begins by introducing participants to data and research on the organizational, business, and financial benefits of a diverse and inclusive (D&I) workforce in architecture, engineering, and construction. The workshop provides goal-setting exercises that architecture leaders and participants can use to establish diversity and inclusion benchmarks, strategic planning, and accountability structures within their firms. The session then moves toward focusing on data-informed recruitment and retention strategies that improve diversification in predominantly white and male industries. By improving the profession’s diversity, we help to ensure we are better able to serve the health, safety, and welfare of a more diverse client base and the public at large.
