About the Firm:

Since 1938, Morris has been approaching each project as a unique challenge, understanding our clients’ needs and developing the design solution that best serves them. Innovation is incorporated at every phase of the project, with the goal of providing benefit to our clients’ core businesses. This includes design, functionality, sustainability, building technology and project delivery. We call this ADVANCEDESIGN.

We work in many disciplines, many building types, and many places, but over the years our practice has been informed by the same ideas. We believe that great design enriches the world and brings economic value. We believe that every project, from interior design to urban planning, is a unique creative act. We believe that creating buildings that save energy, use fewer materials, and pollute less is good for the environment, saves money and makes the people who use those buildings happier, healthier and more productive. We believe in integrating technology not for its own sake, but to make better buildings. Our projects are as diverse as the places they are in, the people who use them, and the purposes they serve, but they all represent ADVANCEDESIGN.

Established in Houston, Texas in 1938, our professional practice has grown to include architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and planning for civic, commercial development, corporate, education, entertainment, healthcare and hospitality clients through the United States and across the world. During the past five years, Morris has completed over $6 billion worth of projects worldwide.

At the end of 2012, Morris merged with Huitt-Zollars Inc., a multi-disciplined design firm. In addition to the Morris offices in Houston, Orlando, Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro and Hong Kong, we offer full design services in 15 additional locations throughout the United States through Huitt-Zollars offices.

Parking:

Please park in the 1111 San Jacinto Garage.– The address of the garage visitor entrance is actually 1210 Lamar ( between Caroline and San Jacinto on the left side of Lamar).  The Visitor Entrance is only on Lamar Street.  The garage entrance signage reads “Public Parking”.  You may park in any space that is not reserved.  Parking will be validated.

There are two banks of elevators on either side of the garage. Look up and you will see a sign that reads “to 1001 Fannin”. Take one of those elevators. These are on the NW side of the garage.

Take  the elevator to level 1 (street level) and walk across the street to our building 1001 Fannin Street – the white 40+ story building.
