PDG Architects was established in 1982 as a Texas Corporation with a staff of five and has grown to present day staffing of 39. In the early 1980’s, the firm’s principle clients were drawn from the Commercial Real Estate Community. The work preformed for these entities included renovations of spaces/buildings within the Office, Retail and Industrial Sectors. These projects provided the firm with the opportunity to participate on the design and development of an expansive list of diverse project types and provided us with invaluable experience that has served as the technical basis for our entrée into the public and institutional sectors. Today PDG is recognized for this strong technical ability and commitment to project schedule and budget. Our goal and guiding principle is to learn from the challenges we have met in the renovation field to produce technically sound designs that preclude these common deficiencies from developing and/or reoccurring. This is truly sustainable design. Largely due to this project approach, PDG Architects can proudly state that 80% of our business each year is generated from repeat clientele.

Beginning in the mid 1990’s, PDG began to provide architectural services for the educational sector with renovation/addition and ground-up projects for K-12 and higher education clients. Our institutional clients include Sam Houston State University; Lamar University; Texas A&M University; University of Houston; Rice University; Texas A&M Galveston; Houston Community College; Texas Southern University, The Lone Star College System and Galveston College. Other educational clients include Houston Independent School District, Cypress Fairbanks School District and Pasadena School District.

A critical element of each project is the selection of the right team. PDG places a great deal of importance on this process as this team must have expertise directly related to the project at hand, knowledge of the client’s needs and a proven working relationship with the team. The following team was specifically selected for their ability to meet and exceed these goals.
