Architectural Intern

RISE Architecture + Design is small architecture office in Galveston, primarily working in single-family home design along the Gulf Coast. We are seeking an architecture intern Interested in design along the Gulf Coast and how to address the issues that are inherent within that.

Responsibilities

Assisting with construction documents
Assisting with design of new single family homes, renovation/addition to existing single family homes, and/or design of small commercial spaces
Creating Revit families and templates to streamline the production process
Measuring existing spaces and producing the necessary plans to begin renovation/addition work  
Assiting with marketing

Qualifications

Ideal Candidates are those:Quick learners who can efficiently manage their workload in a small company environment.
Flexible and understand that the process of architecture involves being open to adapt and change design accordingly.  
Good at time management
Able to take feedback and constructive criticism well
Live in or around Galveston, or are open to relocating.
Planning to pursue licensure.
Capable of jumping between different projects/tasks throughout the day as is necessary in a small office. 
Skills, Education, and Experience:
Must be proficient in Revit
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture preferred
1+ years experience in an architecture office, or with a custom home builder, preferred
Experience with single family residential designs and small commercial build outs, AND/OR
Experience measuring existing spaces and creating as-built drawings for them.
