Project Manager / Project Architect

The Laura U Design Collective is a "wholistic" high-end design studio specializing in Interior & Residential Building Design. Our Design Firm is seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and collaborative Project Manager to work in tandem with our Director of Residential Building Design. Our award-winning firm takes a multi-disciplinary approach to residential design. Our process is highly collaborative and deeply personal, resulting in sophisticated spaces that reflect how our clients love to live. Skills:

Hand Drafting/Sketching: Expert
AutoCAD: Expert
Revit, Sketchup, and 3D rendering a plus
Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Photoshop and Illustrator a plus
Residential construction administration experience preferred

Responsibilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Interact with High Net Worth clients
Ability to manage concurrent projects, maintain a balanced workflow and meet deadlines
Collaborate with interior design team, lighting designers, audio/video contractors, developers, builders, general contractors, vendors, and fabricators
Daily Communication with Director or Residential Building Design
Meet quarterly with leadership to review Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Create compelling architectural designs of the highest quality
Programming
Conceptual/Schematic Design
Design Development
Management of Budgets & Schedules
Construction administration
Understanding of wood-frame construction and be familiar with residential building codes
Prepare, review and redline construction drawings
Translate Schematic Design to a set of documents for production
Ability to incorporate applicable building codes and standards into projects
Select and manage Finishes and Technical Lighting
Production of clear and detailed finish schedules
Ability to effectively lead and manage a small team of designers
Structured Mentoring
Clear delegation of tasks on each project
Review work for quality and accuracy
Constructive criticism

Qualifications

A Bachelors or Masters degree in architecture from an accredited program
A minimum of 5 years of design experience in residential architecture is required.
