Licensed in May of 2010, Jesse has been working since he was 18 in the Architecture and Construction fields. He has been involved in the design of everything from affordable housing, hospitals, luxury residences, office buildings and a university campus in Saudi Arabia. With the belief that everyone deserves an Architect, he has pursued various avenues to deliver a quality project no matter the means. In India he assisted with the design and construction of a student dormitory, going as far as hand-tamping the rammed earth walls after hand mixing the soil and cement additives. Displaying a strong interest in sustainable strategies the campus in Saudi Arabia has achieved a LEED Platinum rating. Furthermore he has been active in various professional organizations, serving as past chair of the AIA Houston Small Firm Roundtable and currently serving on the TxA Publications Committee as well as the AIA Houston Board of Directors.
A native of Washington State, Jesse earned a dual bachelor's degree in Construction Management and Architecture from the University of Washington. Continuing his studies at the University of Texas at Austin he acquired a Master of Architecture degree and a cadre of professionals that he considers lucky to call friends. He has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Prairie View A&M University and is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston where he is the 2017-2018 Energy Fellow.
