Bay-IBI Group Announces Five Promotions within IBI Group, Inc.

Bay-IBI Group is proud to announce the promotion of four architects and one interior designer. Calvin Powitzky, AIA, and Mark French, AIA, REFP, LEED AP, have each been named Associate Directors within IBI Group. Patrick Zadow, AIA, LEED GA, Daniel Brewster, AIA, LEED AP, and Sylvia Hajo, RID, LEED AP, have each been named Associates within IBI Group. The IBI Group is the third largest global architecture firm with over 80 offices and over 3,000 employees.

Calvin Powitzky and Mark French, both founders of “Bay Architects” in 1995, merged with IBI Group, Inc., in 2011. Recently being named Associate Directors within the firm, both Calvin and Mark will serve as leaders for IBI Group’s Texas studio.

Patrick Zadow brings over 29 years of experience to the IBI Group management team. Patrick is involved in AIA, the Council of Educational Facilities Planners International (CEFPI), and the 288 Partnership. Integrating IBI Group’s international transportation and intelligent systems expertise, Patrick is leading the Houston office in mass transit services.

Daniel Brewster has been named an Associate within IBI Group. Daniel offers 25 years of experience across all aspects of architectural design and project management. Daniel is involved in the development of educational facilities planning, and sustainable design through his involvement in CEFPI, the United States Green Building Council and hands-on involvement in educational architecture in districts throughout southeast Texas.

Adding to the list of Associates within IBI Group is Sylvia Hajo. Ms. Hajo brings 19 years of multi-disciplinary interior design experience. Her specializations include the design of healthcare, commercial, educational and institutional spaces. As the lead interior designer for the Texas studio, Sylvia continues to be involved in IIDA, the Bay Area Economic Alliance, and both Program Advisory Boards for San Jacinto College and the Art Institute of Houston.

With this recent expansion in leadership, Bay-IBI Group Architects will continue to provide responsible design, exceptional service and collaborative excellence with Houston representation to Texas clients.
