DBR wins marketing excellence award

08/06/2019

Zweig Group just announced the winners of the 2019 Marketing Excellence Awards, and DBR was on the list for Internal Newsletter. These awards recognize outstanding, results-driven marketing in the AEC industry on a national level. Award entries were judged by an external team of senior AEC marketing professionals and evaluated based upon overall creativity, messaging, results achieved by the campaign, and level of design.

DBR Digest is our quarterly internal newsletter which informs employees of company news, social events, benefits, helpful articles, and more. This newsletter is made possible by employee contribution from marketing, partners, project teams, HR, and many others. The marketing department needed a way to communicate news with the whole firm, without interrupting the day-to-day with emails. It is intended to be informative and fun!

Our goal for DBR Digest is to provide internal communication to employees across all 7 offices state-wide. This allows employees to understand the “big picture” of DBR and how they fit in. It also enhances our corporate culture and refines our brand firm-wide. Informing our employees about firm updates, project wins, and employee achievements drives our staff to do their best and make DBR a great place to work. DBR is currently re-branding itself and this newsletter is where it all starts by showing employees how innovative, forward-thinking, and open our firm can be.

Winners are recognized at the 2019 Elevate AEC Conference in Las Vegas, NV, October 2-4 and will be featured in Zweig Group’s weekly management newsletter, The Zweig Letter, as well as Zweig Group’s other marketing channels.  Additionally, the top three winners in each category will be on display at the conference for industry peers to vote for the “People’s Choice Award.”

“The entries in Zweig Group’s 2019 Marketing Excellence Awards program are outstanding and evidence that AEC firms continually strive to elevate the level of design sophistication and creativity in their marketing materials while keeping their eye on the primary goal – to achieve successful results,” said Zweig Group CMO, Doug Parker, FSMPS, CPSM. “The competition was tougher than ever and our jury of senior AEC marketing professionals were challenged to select winners amongst such top-notch entries.”

Participation in the 2019 awards program, now in its ninth year, skyrocketed with a 100% increase in entries in expanded categories including: Advertising, Brochure, New Corporate Identity Launch, Corporate Identity Rebrand, Integrated Marketing/Brand Awareness, Holiday, Internal Marketing, External Newsletter, Internal Newsletter, Project Pursuit, Recruitment/Retention Communication, Social Media, Special Event Marketing, Video, and Website.  This was the fourth straight year of increased participation and competition for the program.
