The Houston office of Perkins+Will, a global leader in architecture and design, recently announced the expansion of its leadership with the addition of Daniel Searight, AIA, LEED AP as Senior Designer and Senior Associate.

As Senior Designer, Searight will work with Houston’s Managing Director and the regional Director of Design to further elevate the office’s design culture.  In addition to leading design teams on corporate/commercial, science and technology, higher education, and healthcare projects, Searight will be responsible for the expansion of the office’s “Design Advocates Group,” which nurtures and educates employees about design-related issues from community planning to global themes.

“Dan is a tremendous asset to our growing office,” said Managing Director Ray Beets, FAIA, LEED AP.  “His design acumen, as well as his long-term history working with key senior staff, make him a natural fit to champion our practice.”

Searight holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a registered Architect in Texas and Colorado. He is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).  Searight is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Houston Chapter, and has previously served as a member and chair of its Design and Urban Design committees.
