Dillon Kyle Architects is proud to announce that Katherine Ruiz, AIA, LEED AP BD&C, SITES AP, has joined their Houston-based firm as Project Manager to provide office-wide support on sustainable design.

Katherine comes to DKA as a longtime specialist in sustainability, having LEED certified over two million square feet of project space, including the DKA Office Building. Her expertise includes indoor air quality and materials research, daylighting studies, and resource-efficient design. She has presented on a variety of sustainability topics to better educate the building industry on how design can be environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable. Her notable past projects include Texas Tech University Research Park, Dow Chemical Headquarters, and St. John’s School.

Katherine earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame. She is a registered architect in Texas and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. She is an active member of the AIA Executive Committee for the Gulf Coast Green Conference & Expo, having served as chair in 2019.
