FKP Architects Adds New Designers
FKP Architects recently expanded their architecture team with the additions of Adam Murray, Assoc. AIA, LEED Green Assoc., and Aaron Tarnowski. Murray and Tarnowski will support FKP’s design teams by providing project programming, design and coordination across all project types.
“We are pleased to add more talent to our growing team, though I should say I’m pleased these two particular designers chose FKP,” says FKP Chairman and Chief Visionary Officer, Diane Osan. “Adam and Aaron both bring exceptional and diverse experience working on major projects in the U.S. and internationally. They each have innate creativity and curiosity, two things that can’t be taught in school, but offer immense benefits during the design process.”
Murray comes to FKP from a global infrastructure firm in Houston, where he excelled in technical drafting and coordination. His management skills and interest in sustainability came into play while interning with a North American energy infrastructure company. Murray worked on a plant reliability team developing systems to evaluate and improve air emissions and plant equipment lifespan. Murray is a graduate of Lawrence Technological University, in Southfield, Michigan with a major in architecture and sustainability.
Tarnowski is a recent arrival to Houston from New York state, where he received his Master’s and B.S. in Architecture from The University of Buffalo. Tarnowski interned with internationally acclaimed architecture firm COOP HIMMELB(L)AU in Vienna, Austria, where he was part of the design team for a landmark convention center in Dalian, China. He later served the Buffalo community as design coordinator for Special Space Buffalo, a non-profit organization focused on giving dream bedrooms to children fighting life threatening illnesses. Tarnowski is actively involved in researching individual neural activity responsive to particular architectural settings.
