08/14/2013 | FKP Architects

FKP Architects is pleased to announce Senior Vice President and Market Sector Leader, Prajakti (PJ) Glasco, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has received American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) board certification. She achieved the credential through an examination and a portfolio review demonstrating her contributions to healthcare architecture. According to the ACHA, this credential has only been achieved by about 500 U.S. architects.

“PJ has certainly earned this recognition from the ACHA, and her work demonstrates that,” says Diane Osan, Chairman and Chief Visionary Officer for FKP. “This certification builds on her substantial healthcare career, and it highlights her expertise and dedication to healthcare design excellence. PJ continually pushes our healthcare teams to explore new approaches that support the evolution of healthcare delivery and add value for our healthcare clients and the patients they serve.”

Glasco focused her career over the past nine years on serving healthcare organizations and cancer treatment centers. “Knowing that the spaces I create make a difference to patients who are going through some of the toughest times in their lives, is one of the best rewards of this profession,” says Glasco. Her clients include many of the Texas Medical Center’s top institutions, including The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, CHRISTUS Health System, The University of Texas Health Science Center, Harris Health System and Texas Children’s Hospital, as well as institutions across the nation such as Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, St. Vincent’s Health System, University of California at Irvine, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Children’s Hospital Colorado

In addition to her extensive healthcare design experience, Glasco served as the chair of AIA Committee on Architecture for Health, Houston Chapter in 2011. In this role, she brought together hospital system leaders with design professionals to exchange ideas about the dynamic issues facing health professions. Glasco is a graduate of the University of Houston, and she was named one of Houston’s 40 Under 40 top young leaders in 2011 by the Houston Business Journal.
