DLR Group Adds Business Development Leader: education advocate Kate Miller will help districts leverage educational opportunities across Texas

The new DLR Group Houston office is excited to announce the addition of Kate Miller. Kate joins the firm as Business Development Leader focused on the K-12 education market in Texas. In this role, she is responsible for executing the firm’s strategic growth strategy in the K-12 market as well as identifying prospective clients. Kate will work with Texas school districts and local communities to identify their goals, needs, and challenges for its students and their families.

With more than 10 years of experience at Texas Association of School Boards, Kate has an extensive knowledge about the Texas educational system. She will provide vital insight into education planning and how educational facilities can support educational outcomes and the community at large. Kate spent an additional decade working for other non-profit organizations with a mission to serve and represent more than 1,000 Texas school districts and 4.7 million students.

“Kate’s background with the Texas Association of School Boards and the Texas PTA gives us a unique opportunity to offer school districts an insider’s perspective in education planning and design,” according to DLR Group Principal Filo Castore, AIA, who leads the Houston office. “Kate understands the many forces involved in the educational process; she is the bridge between them all, resulting in responsive, functional design solutions that support students, teachers and administrators. As a respected and well regarded advocate for Texas schools, she is an ideal choice for Business Development Leader in the K-12 Texas market.”
