FKP Architects is pleased to announce the addition of Chief Financial Officer, Elizabeth Nilsen, CPA, CGMA. Nilsen takes the position following the retirement of Nann Pierce, who served as FKP’s CFO for 25 years. Nilsen’s experience spans over 20 years in accounting, financial management and corporate leadership roles.
Most recently, Nilsen was the Chief Financial Officer for West Yost Associates, a water, wastewater and storm water civil engineering firm in Davis, California. Additionally, Nilsen’s specific experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industries includes managing talent and other resources for building projects, and working with industry ERP software tools like Deltek Vision. Prior to her CFO role, Nilsen held progressive roles from accountant to controller for private companies, CPA firms, and not-for-profit organizations since beginning her career.
“Elizabeth joins FKP at an important time in our growth, when we are establishing our third office and beginning work in new states. I am confident she will be a major asset in the continuation of our firm’s strong financial status and overall firm growth,” says Diane Osan, Chairman and Chief Visionary Officer for FKP.
Nilsen is a graduate of Texas A&M Corpus Christi, where she earned a BA in Psychology and an MBA in Management and Accounting. Having grown up in Texas, she is pleased to return to her roots.
