Marc Bellamy, project manager and project architect, has been named Associate Principal by the firm. Marc has been involved in program management, project management and lead design roles at PDR. During his tenure at PDR, Marc has worked on numerous projects for Calpine, Murphy Oil and ExxonMobil, including conducting benchmarking studies and leading key communication efforts between the client and building team.

“Marc Bellamy’s superior management and communication skills made a critical difference in the initial development of the complex ExxonMobil campus,” said Lauri Goodman Lampson, PDR president. “With 20 buildings on a 385-acre campus, there were an untold number of decisions to be made.  Marc and his team, acting as the communication hub for all of the design teams, delivered presentations to the top management of ExxonMobil a total of 18 times, keeping the project on track, maintaining design integrity and building key levels of trust and confidence among all involved.”

For Marc, his role on the ExxonMobil project has enabled him to utilize his team-building strengths. “Organizing people is very rewarding,” said Bellamy.  “When you bring the right people together and give them room, they inevitably have great ideas. That’s really the story of how we work at PDR whether it’s researching the issues early in the process or later sharing design concepts and getting the details right and the decisions made. It’s all part of our approach.”

Marc earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Houston, augmenting his studies at the Centre d’Etude d’Architecture and d’Urbanisme in Saintes, France
