Perkins+Will names director of practice development for Texas region

The Texas practice of Perkins+Will, a leading global architecture and design firm, recently named Dave Mueller as the region’s Director of Practice Development.

In the newly-created role, Mueller will guide the firm’s regional business development efforts within the healthcare, education, science and technology, corporate, and civic markets.  Additionally, he will mentor the practice’s established and emerging leaders in effective networking, client engagement, and targeted project pursuits.

“The timing of this transition is ideal,” said Tom Reisenbichler, AIA, LEED AP, Principal and Managing Director.  “With the industry coming back from the recession and competition fiercer than ever, Dave will both contribute to the growth of our Texas practice and coach our next generation of leaders.  Client engagement is a core value of our approach to architecture, and we are excited to have Dave leading this effort in our region.”

Mueller previously served as the Managing Director of Perkins+Will’s Houston office, and is a Principal of the firm.  An industry veteran, he joined Perkins+Will in 1997 and has been instrumental in executing the firm’s regional growth goals since that time.  Mueller earned a Bachelor of Marketing from Texas Christian University, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

“Beyond ensuring that we’re engaging meaningfully with our current and future clients, my goal is to help others within our organization develop effective networks,” Mueller said.  “I want to help tomorrow’s leaders be effective, so that they can transition to the next level in their careers.”
