Sloan Harris Named Principal at VLK Architects

Fort Worth, TEXAS — VLK Architects is proud to announce the promotion of Sloan Harris, AIA, as firm Principal. Sloan grew up in Keller and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Master’s in Architecture followed by a Master’s in Business Administration. Sloan quickly completed his internship requirements and became a registered architect, NCARB certified and a LEED® accredited professional. Sloan joined VLK in 2003 and soon became director of construction administration. His unique talent for design, project management and leadership, along with his commitment to improving our local communities, has positioned him for leadership in VLK Architects and many local organizations. Sloan is a 2012 graduate of Leadership Fort Worth and is a 2011 member of Fort Worth Business Press’ Forty under Forty. He serves as President of the White Settlement ISD Education Foundation, Education Committee Chairman for the Fort Worth Real Estate Council and serves on the Executive Leadership Team of the American Heart Walk. Sloan is a member of the Fort Worth Central City Development Committee, American Institute of Architects, United States Green Building Council and Council of Educational Facilities Planners International.
