The Houston office of Perkins+Will, a global leader in architecture and design, recently announced the expansion of its leadership with the addition of Thomas Newsom, AIA, CDT, LEED AP, RAS as Senior Project Manager and Senior Associate.

Newsom, who joined Perkins+Will in 2002, most recently served as the Architect of Record on the million-square-foot Sky Tower at University Hospital in San Antonio.  In Houston, he will continue to lead the technical production of significant healthcare and science + technology projects, and will work in tandem with the office’s management team to further expand the firm’s regional healthcare practice.

“We are thrilled to welcome Thomas to our Houston practice,” said Managing Director Ray Beets, FAIA, LEED AP.  “His expertise in complex project delivery directly aligns with the needs of our office’s high-tech client base, and his tenure with the firm has positioned him to be an outstanding ambassador for our region.”

Newsom is a registered Architect in the State of Texas, a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS), and a certified Construction Documents Technician (CDT).  He relocates to Houston with his wife, Heather, and their three children.
