WHR Architects Welcomes Scott Sandlin

Scott Sandlin, AIA, CSI, CCS, CCCA, LEED AP® BD+C has joined WHR Architects, enhancing the firm’s recognized capabilities in specialized laboratory and research facility design. Sandlin brings over 26 years’ experience in project management, production team management, construction specifications, and construction administration to the delivery of technically complex projects. In addition, he has specific expertise in the delivery of biological research facilities, including containment laboratories operating at BSL-2, BSL-3 and BSL-4 biological safety containment levels.

Over the past five years, Sandlin has presented on a range of innovative lab design topics at noted national conferences for the American Biological Safety Association, TurnKey and the Lunar & Planetary Institute. Having worked with federal, private and public institutions from Alaska to Texas, he is an active and committed to contributor advancing the state-of-the-art in laboratory design.

Sandlin earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from Texas A&M University, and completed the Arctic Engineering curriculum at the University of Alaska-Anchorage. He is a Registered Architect in Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma, a LEED Accredited Professional, a Certified Construction Contract Administrator and a Certified Construction Specifier.
