Ziegler Cooper Architects Positions Firm for Growth with Office Move, Unveils New Design

Ziegler Cooper Architects is pleased to announce the recent lease signing for a new 25,000 square foot office space on level three of Bank of America Center in downtown Houston. Scott Ziegler, the firms founding Principal, says the move from Chase Tower, where the firm’s current office is located, to the new, larger space in the landmark Philip Johnson designed Bank of America Center, will embrace the firm’s culture of design and position the company for growth. Direct escalator access will provide a dramatic entrance to Ziegler Cooper’s third floor design studio.

Designed to be an inspirational space for both employees and clients, the new office will feature 65’ high cathedral ceilings over a highly open and collaborative studio space. This centralization of design studios places leadership in direct communication with professional staff. Museum like display walls and a centrally located Innovation Lounge encourage creativity, while a Critics Corner fosters dialogue about the creative process. Cutting edge technology and interactive digital displays are located throughout the space and meeting areas. The Ziegler Cooper Café features a cyber-lounge with grouped soft seating and bar area, creating a hospitality feel. A well organized, central Resource Lab ensures the most up to date products are accessed for project use. The office design is expected to receive a LEED Gold level of certification.

“This is a pivotal time for Ziegler Cooper. Houston’s robust economy and job growth over the last ten years has contributed greatly to Ziegler Cooper’s success and we feel fortunate to be a part of this vibrant city. We are positioning the firm to maintain its competitive edge and embrace future opportunities as we celebrate the firms’ thirty-fifth anniversary,” said Scott Ziegler, AIA, Founding Principal at Ziegler Cooper.

CBRE’s Charles Gordon, Craig Beyer and Brandon Clarke assisted Ziegler Cooper in the negotiation of their office lease transaction. Construction of the new space is expected to be complete in December with Ziegler Cooper relocating their offices soon after.
