Joe joined FGMA in 2007 and is an Executive Vice President, serving on the firm’s Board of Directors. He relocated from FGMA’s Chicago office to Austin in 2019 and has helped build the firm’s presence in the Texas region.

Three Visionary Forge Prize Finalists to Present Their Ideas--Live!

CHICAGO - Three emerging architects will compete for $10,000 in what promises to be a very inspiring YouTube event. The American Institute of Steel Construction has selected three finalists for The Forge Prize, which celebrates emerging architects who create visionary designs that embrace steel as the primary structural component to increase project speed.

On Aug. 22, 2019, Bautex Systems’ Chris Leonard, Paul Brown and Gretchen Kliafas with Emily Ledbetter, project manager from Masa Studio Architects, were joined by more than 50 architects, engineers, general contractors and community leaders for a tour of Gracewood’s new community center. The new, 15,000 sq. ft. community center is one of the most flood and wind resistant buildings currently under construction in Harris County.
