Jerry Alexander, Principal, Co-Managing Director and Gensler Global Brand Leader
With more than 30 years of brand and architectural design experience, Jerry brings a holistic approach to his client's needs. Jerry has directed projects across many disciplines, including master planning, mixed-use, retail, restaurant, product design, brand identity development, marketing/advertising, environmental graphics, packaging, and new concept development. For 20 years, he founded and co-led Acumen Design, a uniquely creative branding agency based in Houston. Most recently, Jerry served as Gensler’s Global Practice Area Leader for Brand Design, ensuring his innovative solutions bring each client's business to life at every customer experience touch point. Jerry earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and his Master of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles. He now considers himself a "recovering Architect" who speaks to both disciplines seamlessly.
