Montrose Collective Tour

December 9, 2021
4:00 PM

Join Committe on the Environment, Radom Capital, and Sierra Pacific Windows for a tour of Montrose Collective, Thursday, December 9, at 4:00pm.  The project is one of the latest from Radom Capital designed by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture and built by Harvey Builders.

Montrose Collective embraces the kinetic and eclectic energy of Montrose. The project was designed to be socially and environmentally responsive, with emphasis placed on wellness and community. The building undulates at its base to lighten the massing, and the design at the ground floor opens up the prime corner of Grant and Westheimer to human-scale connectivity and create an active urban plaza. The facade is inspired by the area’s rich history in masonry detailing and juxtaposes these honest materials with the modernity of exposed steel and casement-style windows.. The design embraces biophilia and includes a large number of lush planters and green walls. Large balconies and terraces at each level connect the building’s occupants to the outside with green verandas connecting the building to sweeping downtown views. The project will be pursuing WELL Certification.

Immediately following the tour, join us for a happy hour at Idle Hands (910 Westheimer Rd.).  Drinks and light bites provided and sponsored by Sierra Pacific Windows.
