About Speaker Michelle Rice
Michelle Rice joined Herman Miller on June 1, 2012. With over 20 years of healthcare experience, Michelle has responsibility to help drive our business by creating strong partnerships with national A&D firms and with key industry partners by sharing knowledge, resources and collaboration on healthcare projects.

Prior to joining Herman Miller, Michelle was the owner of an Independent Healthcare Rep Firm, where she led the sales organization in the Midwest, developed and executed business plans and managed the strategic sales process. Partnering with dealers, healthcare organizations and the A/D community to ensure best possible outcomes.

With a passion for healing environments, Michelle demonstrates commitment to humancentered design by a strong commitment to evidenced-based design principles. By examining the environment from the patient’s perspective, coupled with the personal commitment to promoting health and wellness, her critical eye detects areas within a facility that support healing, or in some cases, can become barriers to furthering safe, effective and efficient healing environments.
