Join Urbano Architects for an exciting walking tour and presentation of 1230 Houston Avenue, one of Houston’s few remaining Moderne-style buildings. The building was constructed in 1940 and served as the first home of Knapp Chevrolet in Houston, one of the oldest family-operated car dealership businesses still present today. The property fell into disrepair until 2022, when Urbano Architects renovated it into an Art Gallery, while successfully pursuing state and federal landmark recognition and historic tax credits.
