STATEMEMT OF PURPOSE

AIA Houston’s LGBTQIA+ Alliance aims to provide a safe space for members of the architecture community to gather and be our authentic selves.  This committee focuses on supporting the health, safety, and wellness of the LGBTQIA+ family by advocating for diversity and inclusion within our profession and by educating firms on how to support their staff and clients within the community.  We invite members of the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, and anyone wishing to learn more, to join the conversation and celebrate our members’ achievements with pride.
AIA Houston stands with our Texas State sibling chapters in Austin and Dallas in offering this committee to our local members.
