TAC/Government Affairs
TAC/Government Affairs Committee meets the fourth Monday of every month from 2pm-3pm.
AIA Houston's TAC/Government Affairs Committee works aggressively to help promote the voice of over 2,000 local architects to our statewide organization while also assisting the AIA Houston office with local government tasks when they might arise. The state level Texas Architects Committee (TAC) was created in 1976 as a result of a Texas political reform law, is a voluntary, nonprofit, unincorporated political organization whose membership consists of architects. Our goal is to help educate and advocate on issues relating to the Architectural profession and the quality of life for all Texans. TAC supports those state level officials who demonstrate leadership, responsiveness, good judgement, and other qualities regardless of political affiliations in order to improve the quality of life of not just Architects but our communities. Donate to your Houston chapter below and contact any committee member to get involved.
