Team Registration is open to firms that meet the following eligibility requirements:

Architecture, design and engineering firms must have at least one AIA Architect or Assoc. Architect on their team, or be an AIA Affiliate Member/Firm, in order to enter as a team.
Accredited Architecture, Design and Engineering Universities are allowed to participate in the competition.

TIMELINE 

MARCH 31 | TEAM REGISTRATION BEGINS -  REGISTER HERE

EARLY APRIL | SANDCASTLE HAPPY HOUR! New this year! 

JUNE 16 | Team and Sponsor Registration and Site Selection Lottery Registration Due by 5PM
Each team may register a maximum of 2 representatives.

JUNE 21 | TEAM & SPONSOR SITE SELECTION LOTTERY  Hosted by The Houston Design Center
A representative of each participating team MUST be present to participate in the Site Selection Lottery. 

JULY 10 | Team Late Registration, Last Call to Pre-order Shirts, Wristbands, Ice, and Theme & Category Form Due
All forms due by 5:00pm. Last call to modify or pre-order additional shirts. On a first-come, first-served basis, teams and sponsors can purchase additional shirts at the T-Shirt Distribution Party or the AIA tent on event day. All forms listed below. 

JULY 11 | HILTON GALVESTON RESORT  Reservations Deadline

JULY 19 | ALL SPONSOR AND TEAM PRINTED MATERIALS DUE  (Includes Free Team Signs)

AUGUST 9 | T-SHIRT Distribution Party HOSTED BY CBI GROUP (Culture Based Interiors)
Your team MUST send at least one representative to pick up t-shirts, vehicle beach pass and event participant wristbands.  

AUGUST 12 | SANDCASTLE EVENT DAY!
6:30am-9:00am. With official vehicle pass, beach front opens for delivery of equipment and supplies to the Sandcastle sites. No vehicles permitted on beach before 6:30am or after 9:00am.
