ArCH Walking/Bicycle Tours

Saturdays 9am - 11am, October thru May

Reservations are required for walking and bicycle tours. Limited attendees per tour. Tours depart promptly at the scheduled time. Please arrive early to allow time for check-in and parking. Weather permitting. Tours will take place in moderate rain. Pets are strongly discouraged and are not allowed inside buildings on tours.

$15 General Admission
$10 for AIA Houston members
$10 for architecture students with current ID

Urban Art Tours: Downtown

 

This series of tours will look at public art, architecture, place making and urban planning in Houston. Each new tour will focus on a small walkable section of Houston.

Downtown Part 1 includes Market Square Park, Buffalo Bayou and areas West of Main St. Artists featured on this tour include Mel Chin, Paul Kittelson, Louise Nevelson, Claes Oldenburg and Dean Ruck.

Part 1 meets in the NE Corner of Market Square Park, near the intersection of Travis and Congress Streets. Street, lot and garage parking are available in the area.
 

Downtown Part 2 is on hold due to large amounts of construction on the route. Look for this tour to debut in 2019!

Downtown Part 2 includes Discovery Green and areas East of Main Street. Artists featured on this tour include Paul Kittelson, Margo Sawyer and Jean Dubuffet. Rotating and seasonal installations at Discovery Green will be included in this tour as well.

Part 2 meets in Discovery Green Park. Street, lot and garage parking are available in the area.
