Damaris Hollingsworth | NCARB, AIA, NOMA, LEED AP

Damaris Hollingsworth has an Architectural and Urban Planning degree from the Faculdade de Arquitetura & Urbanismo at University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Having moved to the Unites States of America in 2006, Damaris has since become a Registered Architect, a LEED accredited professional and holds a NCARB certificate.

Damaris’ dynamic and engaging personality combined with her global and multicultural background enables her to connect with people from all walks of life. Her approachability makes people feel relevant and the outcome of her work makes it clear that all voices matter.

With vibrancy and grace, Damaris is poised to expand the reach of inclusive architecture as a way to promote social justice and to beautify all communities. Her design solutions are deeply rooted in the people it serves, while responding to both community values and economic realities. Her resiliency inspires all around her to be productive and stay engaged.

 

Z Smith | PHD, FAIA, LEED FELLOW, WELL AP
Principal | Director of Sustainability and Performance
Eskew Dumez Ripple

Z Smith is Principal and Director of Sustainability and Building Performance at EskewDumezRipple. His built work includes academic, laboratory and residential buildings, including winners of the RAIC Green Building Award and the AIA COTE Top Ten Award. He brings training and experience in physics (MIT) and engineering (Princeton) to the field of architecture (UC Berkeley), and is named as inventor on 10 patents and author on over 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications. He serves as North American representative to the International Union of Architects (UIA) Sustainable Development Commission. He has taught at the Tulane School of Architecture, served on the national Advisory Group of the AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE), the USGBC Energy & Atmosphere Technical Advisory Group, served as Chair of the 2017 SCUP Southern Regional Conference, and is former Chair of the US Green Building Council (USGBC) Louisiana Chapter. He is a member of the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL), the Society of Building Science Educators (SBSE), and the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).

 

Kim Yao | AIA, Principal
Architecture Research Office

Kim Yao, AIA holds an undergraduate degree in architecture from Columbia College: Columbia University and a Master of Architecture from Princeton University. She is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Architecture at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and has also taught at the School of Constructed Environments, Parsons the New School for Design, and Barnard College (2001-2011). She has lectured widely throughout the United States and abroad. She is on the Board for AIA New York and the Center for Architecture as the Immediate Past President of AIA New York.
